“August Bank Holiday Monday in the Lake District can be a bustling place, but I always seek out the paths less travelled. This particular day, I found the quietude I craved in a secluded grove of ancient oak trees. The sun, high above, filtered through the canopy, casting intricate patterns of light and shadow on the moss-covered rocky outcrops near Crummock Water. It was a perfect escape, a moment of pure, undisturbed natural beauty that I felt compelled to capture. The air was still, the only sounds were the gentle rustle of leaves and my camera’s shutter, preserving the serene glow of the dappled light.”
